Oh. my. gosh, it is almost Christmas! I can't even believe how fast these past couples of months have flown by - it literally feels like summer was only a couple of weeks ago.
I recently wrote a guest post for a couple of my fave babes here in Calgary (www.simplyglamgirls.com) and decided that I would post here as well, just in case I have a few people looking for last minute gift ideas for their guys!
I know it is last minute and online shopping is pretty much ruled out, so I’m going to keep these ideas local, accessible and as always, dapper.
The Lumbersexual Man
So, he is pretty outdoorsy, has a few plaid shirts in his wardrobe, loves hunting, camping and anything wood. There are a few awesome places here in Calgary to shop for him - my favourite being The Livery Shop, Modern Menswear, Less 17, Frank & Oak, and Leo Boutique

The Stylish Man
If your guy is next-level stylish and you don’t have any idea what to get him, you really can’t go wrong with anything from Understudy Shop, Gravity Pope or Leo Boutique.
Understudy does a fantastic job of curating unique pieces from Japan, NYC and Paris that are on the cutting edge of fashion. With brands like Engineered Garments, A.P.C., Norse Projects and Chimala, you’ll be sure to find something for the stylish guy in your life.
Leo is wonderful at bringing in products for men who care about fashion and quality, but want to remain effortlessly handsome. Be sure to check out their Steven Alan shirts, Tiger of Sweden shirts and suits, United shirts, jacket and jeans, and their line of Baxter of California grooming products.
Gravity Pope just opened their brand new space on 17th Avenue and it is stunning. With a record shop in the basement, and a full floor of menswear and shoes, it has plenty of options for your stylish man.

The Foodie Guy
Are you fortunate enough to not have to go out for dinner to be served a good meal? LUCKY you! Head over to Mount Royal Village, hit up West Elm & Leo Boutique next door, and you’re set!
If you really want to impress him, check out Knifewear in Inglewood and pick up a handmade, blue carbon blade Japanese knife. They’re a little pricey, but they’re worth it, and better yet, you’ll benefit from all of the good meals he will make with them! Bonus!
Does your man have more tech skills than most IT guys? Perhaps your guy is an IT guy? Either way, these men are definitely not easy to shop for - here are a few tech gadgets they might not already have...
If your dude doesn’t have an Apple TV yet, there is a new one that just hit the shelves - run to Best Buy and grab one. If you’re looking for something small but thoughtful, head over to the Uncommons in Inglewood and grab a Kakkoii Wow portable speaker or one of the many unique tech gifts available.
Is your dream to turn your man into the best Instagram Husband in social media history? Well, if you don’t want to shell out hundreds and carry around a bulky camera, get your guy an Olloclip, find a brick wall, and you’ll be on your way to #instafamous.
Does he also like to golf? A GPS golf watch is great as it is synched with golf courses all over the world, and will tell him his positioning, distance from the pin, yardage, score, etc.

I hope this was able to help a couple of you last minuters put together something awesome for the guy in your life!
Have a Merry Christmas and a super safe, fun and happy New Year!
