Style Trends That Are Here To Stay Through 2014

Keeping up with the latest style trends can feel like a moving finish line - right when you think your wardrobe is perfectly on trend, colours, fits and fabrics change. Because constant trend changes can be expensive and exhausting, we have created a list of 2013 trend items that have staying power throughout 2014.

- Prints - those micro-printed shirts you purchased last spring are here to stay. Liberty of London's spring/summer 2014 collection has a wide variety of these beauties. Another brand that has embraced the micro-print this season is one of Ensemble's favourites, wings+horns, with it's Japanese quill print that was replicated from a vintage Japanese tenegui towel through a technique inspired by katazome stencil dying.

- Standard denim alternatives - think coloured jeans (neutral colours like grey, camel and black) and chinos. Chinos are great for the spring & summer because they are light weight, comfortable and can be worn rolled up with slip on shoes and no socks or with sandals.

- Chambray shirts are definitely here to stay. This light denim can be dressed up with a sport coat and a tie for the office, or completely dressed down for a weekend beer or caesar at the pub.
